Why there is a build fee
The monthly fee pays for running the site: hosting, changes, writing and weekly care. The build fee pays for the work of making it in the first place, which happens once.

Setting up what shows in the morning, the afternoon and the evening, so the site knows what time it is from the first day.
Content moved and set
Your photos, menu and copy put in place, and anything worth keeping from an old site carried over with its old addresses redirected.

The speed work is done during the build, and the site is not signed off until it hits the number.

Stripe emails a receipt straight away, and we send a short confirmation that the build fee is settled.
Questions about the build fee
Is the build fee a subscription?
No. It is a single payment of $647, taken once. Nothing on this page sets up a repeat charge. Your monthly plan is billed separately and is not changed by paying this.
Do I need to pay this?
Only if we have told you a build fee is due, usually on an invoice. Plans started on or before December 31, 2026 have the build fee waived, so if yours was one of them there is nothing to pay here. If you are not sure, email us before paying and we will check.
Why is the amount the same on every plan?
Because the build is the same on every plan. Morning Shift, Full Shift and Open to Close differ in what runs each month after launch, not in the site we build. So the one-time fee is $647 whichever plan you are on.
Is paying here safe?
Yes. The payment happens on Stripe, a secure payment processor, over an encrypted connection. Your card details go to Stripe only and never reach us.
Can the build fee be refunded?
All sales are final, including the build fee. The one exception is a duplicate or incorrect charge, which is corrected within 10 working days of being reported within 30 days. The full terms are in the refund policy.
